SCHATTEN - 2024
Das "Denkmal für einen gestohlenen Arbeitstisch" thematisiert die Rekonstruktion von Vergangenheit und Wissen anhand fragmentarischer Indizien.
Ein Detailfoto, welches man in einer Halle des Umspannwerks, an einer Wand hängend, anschauen kann, vermittelt einen Eindruck eines schon längst verlassenen Arbeitsplatzes. Von dem Tisch haben sich nur die Umrisse der Standflächen auf dem Bodenbelag erhalten. Die Formen der Betonskulptur von diesen letzten Schatten abgeleitet und rekonstruiert.
Die Skulptur "SCHATTEN" entstand über die Dauer einer Woche im April 2024 während meines Aufenthalts bei UWE. Das Festival für urbane Künste findet in einem alten Umspannwerk in Etzdorf bei Chemnitz statt.
SHADOWS- 2024
The "Monument for a Stolen Table" addresses the reconstruction of the past and knowledge based on fragmentary evidence.
A detailed photo, which can be viewed hanging on a wall in a hall of the substation, gives an impression of a long-abandoned workplace. Only the outlines of the table's base areas have been preserved on the floor covering. The forms of the concrete sculpture are derived from these last remnants.
The sculpture "SHADOW" was created over the course of a week in April 2024 during my residency at UWE. The festival for urban arts is held in an old substation in Etzdorf near Chemnitz.
